SCAM ALERT
The New Lebanon Police Department has been contacted by a resident advising of a scam. The scam is a Shadow Shopper, they will send you a check and they will want you to buy items from stores and evaluate them. The scam is that you are then told to check the effectiveness of money transfers by sending money using money gram, Western Union to someone that they will provide to you. After you send the money you find out that the check they sent you is no good and you have to pay the bank back.
Remember if it looks to good to be true, it probably is, Don't be taken in by the scam artist.
